We are proud to announce this yearâs Big Sing presented by the Griffin Schools Trust on Friday 27 May 2022.
We will be celebrating the Queenâs Platinum Jubilee during our Big Sing Concert which will take place on Friday 27 May from 12:00 until 14:00 in Lammas Sports Field. We will be making our way over between 11:30 and 11:45 and if you would like to join us, please feel free to walk with us from Riverley or meet us there.
We will begin our Big Sing concert at 12:00 followed by our picnic at 12:45. If your child is entitled to free school meals or normally has a school dinner on a Friday, the kitchen will prepare a cold Jubilee celebratory lunch for your child. If your child normally has a packed lunch, please send your child to school with a packed lunch as normal. However, if you would like to change your childâs meal pattern for this day, only, please let the office know by Friday 20 May.
To support the Councils commitment to Climate Change, the kitchen will no longer be providing single use bottles of water with our packed lunches so we kindly ask that you always supply your child with a water bottle when going on school trips.
We will all be dressing in our best clothing embracing a theme of Kings and Queens; there will be prizes on the day for the best dressed and the most innovative crowns. If the theme of Kings and Queens does not appeal so much to your child, please feel free to send them in formal clothing.
